Remember those old school skateboarding videos we’ve all watched in our parent’s basements and imagined ourselves being one of the Lords of Dogtown—ripping, loving life and shooting skateboarding videos? Well, Kiki is one of them. With one exception—he never wanted to be in front of the camera but behind it.

It all started when Kiki and couple of friends got together and used one of his family’s old cameras to do some test shots and fooled around. Fast forward a few years and we’re at his first movie premiere at a local club. After moving to Ljubljana, meeting some more people from the »scene« and working on his filming, things (and his work) continued to evolve. One thing led to another and before you knew it, Kiki’s skateboarding movie premiered, and sold out, at one of Ljubljana’s theaters.

For him, video production is a perfect combination of traveling for work and pleasure, meeting people, artistic expression and the ability to show the world his point of view—literally. It’s an exploration of diffenent angles, sounds, effects and filters. You could call it a love of his life. Well, at least one of them.

Turns out, you don’t have to be born in Cali with sunbleached hair to have the most fun doing what you love. All you need is discipline, support, love for your work and things start falling into place. Like they say, »Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”, and Kiki is the perfect example of that.
